Junior School is a co-educational community school maintained by
Surrey County Council. There are currently 212 children on the roll,
organised into 8 classes, with 2 classes in each year group.

The School Governors are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Anthony White to the post of Headteacher with effect from April 2010, following the retirement of Mr Andrew at the end of the Spring Term .
Mr White is currently Deputy Headteacher of Three Bridges Junior School near Crawley, West Sussex and was appointed following interviews held just before half-term.
He is very pleased to be taking up the post at the start of the Summer Term and will be meeting with Mr Andrew and the staff before this time to ensure a smooth transition.

A
neat school uniform helps children to feel part of the school
community and gives us a school identity.
Boys:
Grey flannel shorts or long trousers. Grey socks & sensible
black or dark shoes
Summer: short sleeved white shirts or jade green
polo shirts.
Winter: white or grey shirt and or school sweatshirt.
Girls:
White socks & sensible black or dark shoes.
Summer: Green and white checked
or striped gingham dress or skirt. White blouse or jade
green polo shirt.
Winter: Grey skirt or trousers. White blouse.
A drawstring bag is most suitable for our cloakrooms. Children will need a plain green or white tee shirt, black or white shorts and plimsolls or trainers. Stout trainers will suffice for both boys and girls for outdoor lessons. In cold weather a sweatshirt, warm jumper or track suit may be worn
We required by law to record both
'authorised' and 'unauthorised' absences.
Authorised absences include approved education activities,
vacations, treatment, religious observances, sickness or
miscellaneous absences, where the school has been notified
by parents of a child’s absence.
If your child is ill, please telephone the school as soon as possible to report the condition. Following an absence of more than one day would you also please send a note on return to confirm.
In cases of unavoidable family holidays during term time, please contact the School Office. Absences of this nature may not exceed two weeks in any academic year, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
Unauthorised absences are recorded when we receive no
notification from parents as to their child's reason for
absence.
Our truancy rate is nil.

The Finance Committee meets every term to evaluate, monitor and plan the use of the financial resources of the school. It's members are as follows:
The School Development Committee meets twice termly to plan, monitor and report on school development of the school. It's members are all the governors, chaired by Mr Robin Galliver.
The Staffing & Personnel Committee meets on an adhoc basis to interview / appoint senior members of staff valuate. It also considers staffing strategy, welfare and development of teaching and support staff. It's members are as follows:
